Welcome to Canaltowne Labradors
We are located in Chesapeake City.On Maryland's beautiful, north eastern shore. We enjoy the versatility of the labrador breed and have fun competing in AKC Conformation Shows, Obedience Trials, and Agility Trials. Most of our dogs are also Therapy Dogs. First and foremost our labs are our family companions. Our labradors live in the house with our family, and all puppies are raised in our home.
For the last 14 years I have been a member of the Wilmington Kennel Club in Bear Delaware. I have been a Puppy Obedience instructor for the last 10 years.
Our Canaltowne Labradors are certified free of hip & elbow dysplasia by the OFA ( Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) when they are two years old. In addition, all have an annual CERF eye exam by a canine ophthalmologist starting when they are small puppies.
We also Optigen test and OFA heart clear by doppler.

Our Labradors are fed a raw diet.
Oct 3-4 2009 In celebration of Sunshine's 9th Birthday , (and having not been in the ring for the last 7 years),we decided it was time to get back into the agility ring. And boy did she have a great weekend!!
She now has 2 Novice Jumpers with Weaves legs and 1 Open leg. All three runs were clean and under time, two 1st place and one 2nd place!!! Pretty good for a veteran!!
Oct 31-Nov 1 2009 Second weekend out, she finished her Jumpers title!! with a clean run and 4th place. The next day she got a leg toward her Open Jumpers with a clean run and 1st place!!
